Guided Tour: Save Your Route
Finally, let’s save the route to disk:

With the Route 3 window active, click on the Save Route button on the tool bar
or use the
<Ctrl-S> keyboard shortcut.

When the Save Route window appears, choose the drive and folder on your hard
drive where
you want to save the route. Type a file name such as “Augusta-Charleston” in the
File
Name field. The file extension “.R16” will automatically be added to this name.
Click on
the Save button. Route 3 is now saved on your hard drive in the Na\Options
folder in the
folder where PC*MILER was installed.

Try closing and opening this saved route. Close the Route 3 window. Click the
Open button
on the tool bar, select the route file, and click Open.
CONGRATULATIONS!
In minutes, you have calculated driving directions, maps and mileages for
several routes. As you
can see, PC*MILER is fast and easy to use.
